Roaming profile allows user to logon to any computer in their organization and have all their personal files and setting apply to that computer. It is a powerful feature and it is easy to setup. Let’s get started!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Create a folder on your local hard drive<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Right click the folder you created in step 1 and scroll down its menu. Click<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Properties<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Open the sharing tab and click<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Advanced Sharing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 4:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Check the<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Share this Folder<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

and click on<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Permissions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 5:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Choose Everyone from Group or user names and click<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remove<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 6:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Search authenticated users and select when found. Click<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Allow full control by checking the check boxes and click<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Copy the network path of this folder and click<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Close<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Open Server manager dashboard and click<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tools<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

. Scroll down the menu and click<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 10:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

select all users you would like their roaming profile to be created. Right-click and scroll down the menu. Click<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 11:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Open<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Profile<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

tab and check the profile path text box. Provide the network path of folder you copied in step 8. It should be in format \\\\<MachineName>\\<FolderName>\\%username%. Click OK and you are done creating roaming profile for active directory users<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
