For our example, we amend the lockout threshold number to 12. Click OK to apply the changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.it-support.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Account-Lockout-Policy-GPME-Account-Lockout-Threshold-Properties-OK.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.it-support.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Account-Lockout-Policy-GPME-Account-Lockout-Threshold-Properties-OK-252x300.png\" alt=\"Account-Lockout-Policy-GPME-Account-Lockout-Threshold-Properties-OK\" class=\"wp-image-5838\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Note:\n Configuring the Account Lockout Threshold to 12 means that the user \naccount would be \u2018locked out\u2019 after more than 12 failed logon attempts.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You are informed that since the <strong>Account Lockout Threshold policy setting<\/strong>\n has been given a value, Windows Server automatically defines and \napplies a security setting of 30 minutes to the other policy settings (<strong>Account Lockout Duration<\/strong> and <strong>Reset Account Lockout Counter After<\/strong>). Click <strong>OK<\/strong> to continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.it-support.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Account-Lockout-Policy-GPME-Suggested-Value-Changes-OK.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.it-support.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Account-Lockout-Policy-GPME-Suggested-Value-Changes-OK-300x133.png\" alt=\"Account-Lockout-Policy-GPME-Suggested-Value-Changes-OK\" class=\"wp-image-5839\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Account Lockout Threshold<\/strong> has now been successfully configured.
