Step 1

\nDebian :
\nsudo apt-get install quota quotatool<\/p>\n
CentOS :
\nsudo yum install quota<\/p>\n
Step 2
\n——–
\nEdit \/etc\/fstab
\nOn the partition line, write these options : defaults,usrquota,grpquota<\/p>\n
Step 3
\n——–
\nunmount then mount the partition again with this command (for the \/ partition, if your setup is different, modify the command accordingly) :
\nsudo mount -o remount \/<\/p>\n
Step 4
\n——–
\nCreate the necessary files (\/aquota.user and aquota.group) with the following command\u00a0:
\nsudo quotacheck -cvugm \/<\/p>\n
Step 5
\n——–
\nEdit the quotas for the user wou want to limit as you see fit :
\nsudo edquota username<\/p>\n
Step 6

\nOnce you’re done, save the file and activate the quotas :
\nsudo quotaon \/<\/p>\n
